New video + “Flying Kites” now available!

New, very well put together video courtesy of the fine folks at Mother Brother Studios (part of their Salon Sessions video series). I perform my solo guitar composition “Flash Cards” sandwiched between two more ambient improvisations.

…and I am proud to say my album with the great drummer Grant Calvin Weston is now available on CD @ http://www.577records.com and mp3 via various digital retailers (iTunes, Amazon, et cetera). In an early review of the album, the NYC Jazz Record says, of my guitar playing:
“…steel guitar-like licks move with the simplicity of updated Santana and McLaughlin…he applies [his effects collection] with an artist’s, not a house-painter’s strokes.”

About this release:
“A collection of live sounds recorded while on tour. As usual, attempting to create sonic environments in which to lay one’s head. Part of a continual effort to connect modernity to nature and the infinite.”

In the spirit of continuing to release a ridiculous amount of music this year with little to no regard for promotional aspects, here is a compilation of live improvisations recorded by some good samaritans while I was on tour in Maryland & DC. It is super cheap to download and I made one track free (in case you don’t think I deserve any money but still want sounds on your device). It is also available on cassette for $5 plus shipping! I am unsure how many copies I will be making, so grab em while you can. Also, “textures+surfaces” is now available on cassette!
